Upcoming Norwegian Movies 2013

The Norwegian film year 2012 contained successes as “Kon-Tiki” and “Journey to the Christmas Star” but unfortunately also smaller films with low visitor numbers.2013 will be an exciting film year, with many innovative movies. ThorNews is optimistic and predicts international successes for “Victoria” and “Ragnarok the Riddle”.

The preliminary movie list looks as follows (in chronological order): 

“Før snøen faller” (“Before Snowfall”), drama/ road movie, directed by Hisham Zaman. 15 January

”Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters” – action/ comedy/ horror, directed by Tommy Wirkola (Norwegian director and actors). 1 February

“En som deg” (“Someone Like You”*) – drama/ romance, directed by Eirik Svensson. 1 February

“Karsten og Petra blir bestevenner” (”Best Friends Karsten and Petra”) – family, directed by Arne Lindtner Næss. 15 February

“Jag etter vind” (”Chasing the Wind”) – drama, directed by Rune Denstad Langlo. 22 February

”Victoria” – drama, directed by Torun Lian. 1 March

“Sjalusi” (“Jealousy”*), drama documentary, directed by Hanne Myren.  8 March

“Pelle Politibil på sporet” (“Ploddy the Police Car Back on Track”) – family, directed by Rasmus A. Sivertsen. 3 May

“Detektiv Downs” (“Detective Downs”*) – comedy, directed by Bård Breien. 2 August

“Jeg er din” (“I am Yours”*), drama/ romance, directed by Iram Haq. 16 August

”Kyss meg for faen i helvete” (“Kiss Me, You Fucking Moron”) – drama/ comedy/ romance, directed by Stian Kristiansen. 23 August

“Gåten Ragnarok” (“Ragnarok the Riddle”) – action/ adventure, directed by Mikkel B. Sandemose. 30 August

“Pornopung” – drama/ comedy, directed by Johan Kaos. August

“Hokus Pokus Albert Åberg” – family/ animation, directed by Torill Kove. 20 September

“Pioner” – thriller, directed by Erik Skjoldbjærg. September

“Blind” – drama, directed by Eskil Vogt. September

”Mormor & de 8 ungene” (“Grandma and the Eight Children”) – family, directed by Lisa Marie Gamlem. 4 October

“Solan og Ludvig: Jul I Flåkypa” (“Solan & Ludvig’s Christmas in Pinchcliff”) – family/ animation, directed by Rasmus A. Sivertsen. 11 October

“A Thousand Times Good Night”, drama played by French star Juliette Binoche, directed by Erik Poppe. Premiere date not announced.

“Dirk Ohm” – drama, directed by Bobby Peers. Premiere date not announced.
