Under you will find a traditional Norwegian recipe with ‘a touch of lime’! Try it at home!
Ingredients (Serves 4)
1.1 Lbs dried peas
0.5 Gallons of water
3 Tablespoons butter (real butter!)
2 Tablespoons sugar
1 Teaspoon nutmeg
1 Teaspoon allspice
A pinch of chili powder
Leave the dried peas in cold water over night (12 hours) with 1 tablespoon of salt. Boil them in the same water on low heat under cover for 2-3 hours. Stir and add salt, sugar, nutmeg, allspice, chili powder and butter. Taste to your own perfection.
