China Míeville Honor Guest at Norwegian Fantasy Festival

World famous sci-fi and fantasy writer China Míeville visits Norway as guest of honor at  the Norcon Festival. The festival is dedicated to sci-fi and fantasy literature, and is one of the best literary Con’s in Norway at the time.

Míeville is known for his many novels and short stories, and he has also produced his very own role play system. He has won many awards for his works, there among Arthur C. Clarke Award, Hugo Award and British Fantasy Award.

China Míeville describes his art as ‘weird fiction’, and he is known for experimenting with different genres like horror, fantasy and science fiction. His big breakthrough was urban-fantasy novel ‘Perdido Street Station’ in 2000. In 2009 he published ‘The City and the city’ that was well-received from both readers and critics.

China Míeville visits Norcon Festival in Oslo February 10-12, 2012.
