ELEVATOR is the latest film from award-winning writer/producer Marc Rosenberg (“Dingo,” “December Boys,” “Serpent’s Lair”) and director Stig Svendsen (“The Radio Pirates,” “Loose Ends”).

Storyline

When nine partygoers find themselves trapped 50 floors above Manhattan with a bomb, they are forced to set aside their differences and learn to cooperate. But resentments run deep, and each character has a motive that could doom the survival of all. John Getz (“The Social Network”) is a wealthy Wall Street executive with many enemies. Christopher Backus (“Switchback,” “Hard Breakers”) and Devin Ratray (“Home Alone,” “Surrogates”) work in the same financial firm. Anita Briem (“Journey to the Center of the Earth,” “The Tudors”) is a jilted ex-girlfriend, and Tehmina Sunny (“Children of Men,” “Singularity”) is the beautiful TV reporter who replaced her. Joey Slotnick (“Nip-Tuck,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “Too Big to Fail”) is a not-so-funny Jewish comedian who hates Muslims. Waleed Zuaiter (“The Men Who Stare at Goats,” “House of Saddam”) is the Muslim security guard who does not trust Jews. Shirley Knight (“As Good as it Gets,” “Sweet Bird of Youth,” “Desperate Housewives”) is a woman whose son was killed in Iraq. Twins Rachel and Amanda Pace (“The Bold and the Beautiful”) play the spoiled granddaughter of the Wall Street boss. And Michael Mercurio (“God Complex,” “Jarhead”) is the mysterious bomb-maker who has an agenda of his own.

With issues of racism, greed, war, politics and infidelity converging in one tiny space, ELEVATOR offers a new perspective on terrorism, and raises questions about who the real criminals are in a world where financial markets can be so easily manipulated by a powerful few. The message is powerful, and the suspense unbearable. How far would you go to survive?
